This case study focuses on Kalmar County in southern Sweden, including the island of Öland, and aims to develop and assess sustainable business models that incorporate landscape features (LF). Working closely with a range of stakeholders, the study will evaluate the innovation readiness of participating landowners and stakeholders, and gather insights into farmer perceptions of LF value as well as perceived barriers to LF development. Based on these findings, LF reintroduction will be planned and implemented through various practices, such as tree planting and water-related environmental measures that enhance ecosystem services.

The key partner is the agricultural extension organisation ‘Rural Economy and Agricultural Society in Kalmar Kronoberg Blekinge’ (Hushållningssällskapet).
