This large-scale river renovation in Southern Finland was a collaborative effort between the local municipality and landowners to mitigate agricultural flooding. The project constructed a variety of wet landscape features, including two-stage channels, wetlands, and ponds, resulting in reduced field flooding and the creation of multiple ecosystem benefits.
