This case study focuses on the Delta area of South Holland, where the islands are primarily used for high-revenue arable farming. The Farmers’ Collective ‘Zuid-Hollandse eilanden’ provides CAP subsidies to support the implementation of landscape features (LF) on farmland, while the regional government and waterboard manage most of the remaining LF in the area. As part of a nationwide investment program, new funding will become available in the coming years to support the reintroduction of LF. The study will assess stakeholder preferences for specific LF types, identify requirements for wider uptake, evaluate available funding, and support the generation of benefits for participating partners.
The key partner is the Farmers’ Collective ‘Zuid-Hollandse eilanden’.
